You gave a CD to my 20-year-old daughter who is a barista at Spectrum Center Starbucks. She said, "Mom, one of my regular customers gave me a CD and I know you like jazz. Do you want to listen to it?"
I'm listening to it for the first time as I type and you, sir, have a new fan! I'd love to know when you're playing in the area.

Heard your music as I worked as a hostess at a resturant in Rockville, 20 years ago. Left a great footprint on life for appreciation of music. Thought of you as I listened to great music and fond memories of you and your band, plus Mary Ann Redmond.
My all time favoirte is still you guys playing Chelsea Bridge. Hope to see you soon.

I was just listening to Rich River today and I thought i'd drop you a note to first say hi, and second, and more importantly, thank you for all those nights at Normandie Farm!
You guys were truly a dynamic duo. Much larger than the room and decidedly much too smart for the room!!!
Be good,

Let me tell you what happened. I was looking for another artist that was singing "Holding Back the Years" (Angie Stone) and I found a lot of different people. There were some nice versions of the song but I couldn’t find Mis Stone. So I clicked on one more . . . yours'. Well it sounded great so I put your name in the iTunes search and found "Heart Song.” Well, let me tell you I don't buy a lot of new music. Most of my stuff is old school and classic but after hearing "Midnight in Morocco" and "I'm Going to Love You" I didn't even listen to the rest of the clips I just bought the whole album. Allow me say I enjoy listening to every song on that album and just wanted to let you know. Thank you for the good music and anticipate more from you. God Bless.

I guess my comment did not take before but I wanted to tell you how thrilled I was to find you again. I used to go hear you all the time back in the 80's at the Wharf with Mary Blankmier & Andy Hamburger etc...
We hired you all to play at an engagement party for friends of ours! I had always heard you had a history with some prominent musicians before that time!
I knew you were way to good just to be playing around Alexandria and the Wharf... Stanley Clarke & Chick Corea!
Now I get it thrilled to find you again! Come to Buffalo!

Happy New Year & Happy Birthday Al,
No way you remember me, but, I was your biggest fan back in the day. The days of Mary B & The Stingers!
How is Mary doing, does she perform any more?
Anyway, I was the young punk that bought recording equipment (reel to reel) in to No Fish Today in Baltimore. I still listen to those recordings today, well I did yesterday. Great to see you are doing so well. If you get a chance write back and again, Happy Birthday!

Al, I didn't want to risk getting tired of Heart Song, so I've been listening to your first 2 CD's after not playing them for a while. 'Breathe Again' on the Never Too Late CD is my hands-down favorite at the moment. Don't know why, but your playing on that tune really speaks to me. Wow.......
First of all, I love you always. I was so grateful to have come to DC in Feb. to see you at Blues Alley and have played your CD until it has nearly worn. Great new pictures. Alice says hello and that SHE had the pleasure of seeing you on the big stage last night. I had no idea you were going to be playing or I wouldn't have been running errands at that moment! Congratulations on the big gig, the new label, and much more fun and music to come.

Hey Al,
It was so good to hear from you! Congrats on your new CD, 'Heart Song' and your new label signing with Pacific Coast Jazz. From your first CD and the pure emotion of 'Anjo do Amor' to 'Emma's Bomba' on the 2nd, and the cool ride of 'Skyline Drive' on your 3rd, your sound infiltrates, lingers, and is remniscient of a finely aged wine.
Just one question... Do we have to wait another 5 years for the next flavor? I can say this, if we must, it's worth it!
Peace & Blessings Always,
Phyllis
